Karole Bradford, Executive Director, will be taking a new position with the Kansas City Medical Society Foundation as its Chief Program Officer. Her last day with Riverview Health Services is December 12.
During this transition, Riverview’s services will continue without interruption. Board member Tom Finnell, RPh, will oversee Riverview’s day-to-day operations.
Board President Fredrick Manasseh, PharmD, MBA, BCGP, said, “Karole has provided Riverview with strong leadership during what we all recognize is a challenging time for health care providers across the region. With her guidance, Riverview has taken big strides toward providing patient-centered care, forged stronger partnerships with safety net providers, and greatly improved our case-management services. Though we will miss Karole, we are also excited for her as she builds on her career as a leader in healthcare services.”
Bradford said she was proud to have served for a board and staff that fully embraces Riverview’s mission of providing health literacy services and facilitating healthcare access for the indigent, uninsured and underinsured. She praised both for giving her the support and confidence to do her job.
“I’ve had the honor and pleasure to work with some amazing people at Riverview,” Bradford said. “Our Board consistently demonstrates the vision, leadership, and commitment needed to ensure that Riverview’s impact is felt across the metropolitan community. The skills and passion our employees bring to their jobs have inspired me. Riverview will be in good hands during this time of transition.”
Board President Manasseh said that Riverview has enjoyed stable leadership in its 29-year history, and is in a strong position financially. “I’m looking forward to helping Riverview take its next step,” Manasseh said. “We are exploring leadership options that will allow us to strengthen our relationships with our partners in the community and continue our commitment to improving access to pharmaceuticals and diabetes education for uninsured and underinsured people in our community. We remain committed to making sure Riverview has the capacity and sustainability to fulfill its mission well into the future. Our commitment to our mission is strong and we look forward to working with you as we manage these important next steps for Riverview.”
